Createspace announced they will no longer be distributing
mp3's for musicians to Amazon as of October 15th.

This is too bad considering it was an alternative that let you
manage your own music distribution for titles on Amazon's
mp3 store.

Createspace will still be distributing physical cds for you on
demand as before. But come this fall, previous titles already
in the Amazon mp3 store through Createspace will no
longer be available.

You can use other services such as Tunecore, OneRPM or
CD baby to upload digital offerings to amazon.

I'm not sure what prompted the move from digital music?
The post on their website doesn't really explain the
reasoning.

"CreateSpace will no longer distribute MP3s beginning October 15, 2014. We are constantly evaluating our service catalog and have decided to discontinue support for MP3 as we work to provide our customers with the most cost effective and valuable services.
Only the MP3 offering will be discontinued. We'll continue to support the programs for:
  • CDs
  • DVDs
  • Amazon Instant Video
  • Paperback books"
